Marshburn's Flooring America is truly a family affair. Over 50 years ago, Tommy Marshburn became involved in the flooring covering industry with his father when he was just a child. The love of this industry continued into a career as an Armstrong distributor for 20 years.

In June 1991, Tommy and his wife Pat along with their son, Jody, opened their own business. This business was a small office/warehouse in the Houston area which specialized in supplying flooring for local builders.

In 1996, the Marshburn family opened a retail store in the Humble area and the business began to grow. In 1999, the current location on Business 1960 was purchased. This 10,000 square foot showroom and warehouse was originally named Colorbrite's Flooring. The family also grew with the addition of Jody's wife, Veronica.

In 2003, the Marshburns joined the largest flooring organization in America, Flooring America. With over 600 stores, Flooring America has the buying power to provide to their customers with the best quality flooring, service, and prices.
